Stop asking for "advice", if really all you desire is more web traffic, leads and clients.
Friends,
I feel a few posts here that are requesting "help/advice" are masquerading for promotion, which I actually don't mind, but in the end, are you getting the "traffic" that you actually want?
If yes, great, ignore this, but if not, then, let's have a quick chat.
How can I grow my SAAS, Website, or brand on platforms like Reddit, Linkedin, X, Quora, Slack, FB?
Here are a few ideas that I use (daily) to generate a consistent 10,000 - 20,000 visitors to my site. Regardless if you're an agency, solo, consultant, freelancer, or SAAS entrepreneur, these tips can help you if you stick to them daily.
Stop asking for advice, or to be roasted. Just stop. I did this as one of my first posts actually, and sure, feedback is great, but let your [real] customers give you feedback. Also, if you can't detect the "signal from the noise", then you're in big trouble. You're about to get a lot of noise.
Stop talking about yourself. Yes, if you have a successful, viral post, you can generate a lot of traffic to your website, but that's like making 1 out of 30 shots (basketball). That's a very low shooting percentage, it isn't consistent, and requires an element of "luck". Most people come to Reddit for entertainment, education, or to communicate on particular topics. Think of it as a Stack Overflow for the masses, not just engineers.
Start helping others. I've found this to be the best way to reciprocate favors amongst strangers. People have questions, help them. Spend a good portion of your time helping others, and you'll get rewarded with followers and Karma. The majority of my Karma has come from helping others, not posts about me or my business.
Post more "random" stuff. Other platforms have their own credibility systems, and for Reddit it's karma. It's okay to be human. People [will] check out your profile, and yes it needs to be optimized, but I'm talking about the content. Is this guy here just pumping, pumping, or is he actually human? Be human. Be normal. Maybe even funny?
Optimize your funnel. So let's say you start having success with times 1-3, now you need to optimize yourself as an authority for [when people need you], not the other way around. I'm guilty of this myself, and sometimes get downvoted, it happens to the best of us! Here's a way you can optimize your funnel:
Create helpful content / answers.
Optimize your banner, profile description, and profile image.
Have a clean landing page, with a low attention/ratio.
Make sure that product/offering is clear.
Provide something free like a consultation, or blog content as continuation from social media.
Note: This works great for Linkedin, X, Reddit, Quora, etc..
Show up daily. The Reddit achievements alone are worth nothing, but in reality what they represent is your commitment to showing up. Eventually you will get it right, and when you do, you'll be surprised by he "real", and "organic" engagement you get. People like genuine. Be genuine.
For anyone looking to further grow, scale, build, use this as a resource to help. This information is not the only way, there are other contributors here (feel free to add).
Finally, don't be afraid to support other entrepreneurs. It doesn't matter if they are Canadian, India, European, American, Mexican, who gives a shit.
In some cases, you helping someone else, can grab the attention of others in unexpected ways. Anyone who complains about you putting yourself out there has not put their neck out, and will troll you from the comfort of their 9-5 office jobs.
Sorry, but entrepreneurship is not "comfortable". Anyone who tells you this is lying.
No further ask.
